Saint Anthony School recognizes students as unique learners and challenges them to fulfill their potential with an emphasis on spirtual, personal, and academic growth. We strive to build a Catholic faith based community preparing future leaders through service as children of God.
"Let your words Teach and your actions Speak"
--- Motto: quote credited to Saint Anthony.
To foster a sense of community and to nurture habits of prayer, worship and Liturgical celebration. Since Religion is the core of our curriculum as well as our way of life, students and parents are expected to attend Mass each Sunday and on Holy Days of Obligation. To learn to live our Faith.
A Foundation for Life
Catholic education is an expression of the mission entrusted by Jesus to the Church. Through education, the Church seeks to prepare its members to proclaim the Good News and to translate this proclamation into action. [Catholic Church. (1973). To teach as Jesus did: A pastoral message on Catholic education.]
The school of Saint Anthony affords each of its students the fullest and best opportunity to realize and experience the three-fold mission of the Church’s educational ministry-message, community, and service: the message revealed by God which the Church proclaims, fellowship in the life of the Holy Spirit and service to the Christian community and the entire community.
Our school provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to learning, and to the development of good moral values and sound judgments.
Since special knowledge and skills are required for the effective pursuit of justice and peace in our world, the school of Saint Anthony strives for excellence in its academic program. Growth in wholeness and holiness are the hallmarks of our educational program.
Here at Saint Anthony’s we believe that education is one of the most important ways by which the Church fulfills its commitment to the dignity of all persons and the building of community.
Community is at the heart of Saint Anthony’s School. It is the raison d’être. It is not simply a concept to be taught but rather a reality to be lived. Saint Anthony’s students experience community. Formed by their experiences, they are better able to build community in their families, their neighborhoods, their country and their world.
It is our belief that through education we realize our own personal sanctification, the needs of our times and our individual role in bringing about a just and peace-filled society. We hold that it is through education we open ourselves to “hear the cry of the poor” and are better able to formulate a Christian response.
In the words of Saint John Chrysostom we say, “There is no greater task than to mold the hearts and minds of youth.”
We believe this is our mission – this is our challenge.
